As the founder of Powell PR, Rachel's primary principal is to amplify the visibility of emerging, dynamic, and innovative brands. Her approach centers on developing strategic brand storytelling to deliver tangible results, all in service of helping her brands prosper by building brand awareness, credibility and buzz.
Rachel's journey to establishing her own firm in 2017 was shaped by her stints at boutique PR agencies such as Corbin & Associates and French | West | Vaughan, as well as her roles on the consumer communications side with companies like Pirate’s Booty and B&G Foods, where she found her niche in the food and beverage space. She also led marketing efforts at Heavenly Organics.
Rachel has built a solid network of relationships with a diverse array of media members and influencers. She's led the charge in developing thought leadership programs from their inception, masterminded media and tastemaker events, and orchestrated successful brand and product launches that resonate with the media and ultimately consumers.
Today, Rachel works with select brands in the food, beverage, health & wellness lifestyle spaces. She has a deep understanding of the constantly changing media landscape, excelling in traditional and multi-channel media relations. Her expertise extends to areas such as affiliate marketing, thought leadership, and cultivating relationships with media, VIPs, celebrities, influencers, media-savvy chefs, and nutrition experts.
When Rachel isn’t pitching her clients, she’s chasing her two kids around in Long Island, NY, or in the kitchen testing delicious recipes (that her kids won’t eat unless it’s a baked good!). Renowned for her quirky and bubbly personality, insatiable passion for pop culture, and infectious enthusiasm, Rachel leaves everyone with a cache of unforgettable stories and anecdotes that leave a lasting impression.
